Built for Secure Environments and Complex Architecture in Any Industry

Actall's RTLS technology was never designed for simple environments. From the beginning, our systems were engineered to solve a problem that most location technology ignores: how do you deliver accurate, reliable real-time location data in facilities where thick walls, dense structure, multi-level layouts, and strict security requirements make conventional approaches fail?

The answer? Developed over decades of deployments in corrections, behavioral health, and healthcare, is the ATLAS platform. Purpose-built for exactly these conditions.

Our platform is equally at home in any environment that shares these or similar characteristics where 'standard' RTLS stuggles to perform.

Complex secure facility environment

What Makes an Environment the Right Fit for Actall RTLS?

Complex Architecture

Multi-level structures, reinforced concrete and steel, underground or enclosed spaces, and layouts that scatter or absorb conventional RF signals. Actall's dual-band architecture was designed specifically for these conditions.

Security-Critical Operations

Environments where personnel accountability, zone compliance, and access control aren't optional. They're fundamental to how the facility operates and how it meets its regulatory obligations.

No WiFi Dependency

Facilities where WiFi networks are restricted, already overloaded, or simply not viable for safety-critical location data. ATLAS operates on its own RF infrastructure with no WiFi required.

High-Stakes Safety Requirements

Environments where an incident (a worker in distress, an unauthorized zone entry, a missing person) demands an immediate, accurate response. Partial or delayed location data is not acceptable.

Large or Sprawling Footprints

Sites that span multiple buildings, large outdoor areas, or both that require consistent, reliable coverage across a footprint that defeats systems designed for single-building commercial use.

Mixed Populations

Facilities managing employees, contractors, visitors, and other personnel with different access levels and oversight requirements, all within the same operational environment.

How ATLAS Delivers Where Other Systems Don't

Most RTLS solutions rely on WiFi triangulation or Bluetooth. Technologies designed for simple uncluttered spaces and network-rich commercial spaces. When those systems encounter reinforced construction, signal interference, or environments without reliable WiFi infrastructure, performance degrades.

ATLAS uses a patented dual-band RF architecture that was built for exactly the opposite conditions:

  • 900 MHz LoRa transmission provides long-range signal penetration through thick walls, concrete, steel, and multi-floor structures — maintaining connectivity in the most challenging physical environments.
  • 2.4 GHz precision location delivers sub-room-level accuracy for precise positioning, without expanding or conflicting with existing network infrastructure.
  • Independent RF infrastructure means ATLAS operates entirely on its own network with no dependency on facility WiFi, no interference with existing systems.

The result is consistent, accurate, real-time location data — across every zone, every level, and every corner of the facility.
